Book an author visit

Create a powerful connection to reading and writing by inviting Serena Schreiber to speak at your school. Besides providing a welcome break from classroom routine, an author visit reinforces lessons on writing and editing, developing characters, and expressing one's creativity. It gets readers excited about books, and it provides an opportunity to encourage young writers.

Serena visited the monthly celebration of young authors at Hobe Sound Elementary Writers' Wall of Fame in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

As part of an annual Dr. Seuss celebration, I visited Finn's fans at Heritage Elementary. Mr. Hamilton, the media specialist, read the first chapter of Finn's Ship to his fourth and fifth-graders prior to my visit. Students asked questions about the story, creating characters, the writing process, and publishing. Invite me to your school to connect your kids with reading and writing! --Serena
