First published in Brooklyn in third grade, Serena Schreiber took a circuitous route through Europe to settle in Florida. When not writing kids' adventure stories or fantasy, she follows her other muse, research.
Since 2011 Serena runs a monthly open mic, Howl at the Moon Writers Jam, and in 2018 she launched an annual event, the Urban Stories Festival. While teaching arts-integrated literacy, she discovered her lifelong fascination had a name--STEAM--the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, ART, and Math. In her writing and in real life, Serena explores technology and other cultures. Serena has two amazing children, a handsome husband, and a turtle named Bolt.
